Math Placement

Before you can take any math class at USC, you must show that you meet the required prerequisites. For some classes, you can meet this requirement by taking a math placement test. This assessment helps you understand your current math skills and indicates which USC math courses you are prepared to take.

🚀 Starting Fall 2026?

New students must take the ALEKS PPL Math Placement Test before registering for math courses.

This online assessment helps determine which math class you’re prepared to take at USC.
