About the Council

Council members are invited to serve a two-year term, with the option for a one-year extension. The Council meets in person twice a year to reconnect, hear updates from College leadership, and collaborate on key initiatives. Between meetings, members contribute through participation in one or more focused committees, supported by College staff.

Council Member Priorities

• Awareness & Advocacy – Amplify College achievements and advocate for the value of liberal arts and sciences.

• Alumni Events & Recognition – Support alumni gatherings and nominate peers for awards.

• Fundraising Support – Lead by example during Give4Garnet each March.

• Mentorship & Student Support – Share expertise to guide current students through mentoring opportunities.
