Jim joins the University of South Carolina from UNC Charlotte where he has served as Director of University Recreation since 2013. He is a seasoned recreation professional, bringing 30+ years of experience to the division with a focus on special projects, facility improvements and operations, programming as well as a passion for working with students to enhance their overall experience.

He likes tackling DIY home projects, exploring antique shops, and discovering new foods. A lifelong sports fan, Jim cheers on his favorite teams—the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres—and also enjoys watching college sports. One of five siblings, he values time with family and friends and enjoys meeting new people.
