Our commitment to your undergraduate experience

The Office of Undergraduate Research supports faculty-mentored undergraduate research across the USC System in the following ways:

• Connecting students with faculty research mentors
• Providing professional development opportunities to support student researchers
• Offering competitive grant-style funding to support faculty-mentored research experiences for students
• Hosting presentation opportunities for students to showcase their work

 

The Office of Undergraduate Research was established by the Office of the Vice President for Research in November 2004 to centralize resources for undergraduates of all disciplines to engage in research at the University of South Carolina.

The OUR can be reached by phone at 803-777-1411 or by email at our@sc.edu.  Our office is located on the historic Horseshoe in Legare College, room 120.  Students can schedule an appointment with a member of the OUR staff through EAB Navigate under "Make an Appointment" then "Involvement and Engagement" then "Undergraduate Research Appointment".
